List of devices that no longer recieve updates

Hi,

Is there a definitive list of devices that no longer recieve ROS updates?

I understand I can see devices that are no longer sold here https://mikrotik.com/products?filter&s=a#! but many (most?) of these devices still can be updated.

Many thanks,
Justin

The rule of thumb is: if architecture (e.g. MMIPS or ARM or SMIPS) of device is receiving new ROS versions, then device is still supported. And this is a big feature of MT (as compared to other vendors who drop support quite soon after end of selling).

However (and it’s a big however): ROS v7 doesn’t work well on some of “supported” devices due to too little RAM. E.g. I wouldn’t try running v7 on devices with 32MB RAM or less (e.g. hAP lite).

There is no list, all devices running RouterOS still can be upgraded to v7.17
The limitation, like mkx explained above, is that some very very old devices will not work well. For example devices with SMIPS architecture have small amount of RAM, you might be able to use it with only the system package and limited number of features.

But even RB532, which was released more than 20 years ago, can run the latest software.
