Listed on CBL - possible virus problem?

Hi,

our public IP was listed on CBL. I got it from my Linux home webserver mail message:

" ----- The following addresses had permanent fatal errors -----
<petr.krenzelok @ mydomain.com>
(reason: 554 Service unavailable; Client host [our-public-ip-here] blocked using
sbl-xbl.spamhaus.org;"

Of course we don’t run sendmail on MT machine, but imo CBL thinks, we do. Simply put, am I right thinking, that one of our clients might have virus on his/her machine?

I have to confess, that I don’t use any firewall linux blocking rules yet. Could that help to solve my problem with CBL listing? Is there any updated list of MT rules I should add, to stop most known viruses at least?

Thanks,
Petr

just follow the instructions: http://cbl.abuseat.org/

there is no better way of fighting this than education of customers. tell them to patch their windowses, use firefox and run spybot s&d weekly

Is there any way how filter traffic like this by Mikrotik? For example by configuring proxy?

Please clarify what type of traffic you mean. You responded to a 7 year old post, which is no longer relevant.
