Hello everybody.
I am trying to configure the delivery of information about VoIP VLAN through LLDP-MED on CRS326-24G-2S+RM with version of system 6.48rc1 for Maitel SIP phones.
But apparently it doesn’t work for me.
I did like this:
[admin@MikroTik CRS326-24G-2S+RM] > ip neighbor discovery-settings print
discover-interface-list: LAN
lldp-med-net-policy-vlan: 222
protocol: cdp,lldp,mndp
[admin@MikroTik CRS326-24G-2S+RM] >[/size]
I sniffed the traffic on the port and I don’t see that the switch gives out info about voip vlan.
On phones LLDP-MED is enabled by default.
What could be wrong?
Unfortunately, the information on the wiki(https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:IP/Neighbor_discovery#LLDP) is a little behind the latest changes and there I did not find information on the LLDP-MED![]()
Maybe there is some other switch for LLDP-MED in the settings?
No experience of using this so can’t help directly, but we use Windows DHCP on my employer’s network and utilise DHCP scope options for this configuration.
The handset initially boot into the ‘data’ vlan and DHCP option instructs the phone to reboot into voice vlan. On HP/Aruba switches, this has the data vlan ‘untagged’ and voice vlan ‘tagged’ on the interface…
Hello sjoram! Thank for your answer.
I also solved the problem so far, through a double reboot of the phone (after receiving information about the desired VLAN, the phone again, a second time, reboots).
I use DHCP on the same CRS326-24G-2S+RM.
I have configured option 43 “Vendor Class Informational”, in which I inform the phones about the required VLAN.
There are several methods to drag the phone to the desired VLAN.
But the method using LLDP-MED is the fastest, because communication takes place at the second level, even before the conversation with DHCP.
Unfortunately on switch of Mikrotik there is no voice vlan.
