LNS L2TP speed limit

Hello,

We are using CCR1072 and CCR1036 as LNS servers with L2TP secrets. We encounter a speed limit per L2TP session of 508 Mbits with 1.2 Ghz CPUs independent of CCR1072 or CCR1036.
it’s seems that L2TP interfaces are limited to 1 core and we cannot activate fastpath because we are using radius and queues for speed profiles limits per customer.
It is CPU physical linked, if we clock down the CPU, the limit is lower. if L2TP interfaces share the same core, both had 250 Mbits. With 800 L2TP interfaces, we have fluctuent bandwidth due to core sharing and automatic interface per core random attribution.

Will the L2TP interface be improved in the next release or is CHR a good option ? The only way at the moment to provide Gigabit LNS sessions is on a VmWare server with CHR running on it. We can provide up to 1.7 Gbps L2TP sessions with a 3.8 Ghz intel CPU.
