Load Balancer for PPPoE [solved, thanks to nhalachev]

hi all,

i’m going to have a lot of PPPoE users connected to my MT.
can i have 2 MT running PPPoE Server on one network?

does anyone had tried it before?

rgds,

me

We have 6 MT PPPoE Servers load balancing hundreds sessions very well.

halo,

may i know the configuration. i have this PPPoE configuration in my MT :

[admin@NexcomPPPoE] interface pppoe-server server> print detail
Flags: X - disabled
 0 service-name="nexcom" interface=broadcom max-mtu=1480 max-mru=1480
     authentication=pap keepalive-timeout=15 one-session-per-host=yes
     max-sessions=0 default-profile=nexcom

should i change the service name if i have another MT running PPPoE?

yes different names is needed
ex. names of location (this will eliminate lag)

If make use of different service names, MT’s will not do load balancing.
If you want to do load balacing for pppoe, then use same service names, or better avoid using service names.

my PPPoE Load Balancer now running…

thanks nhalachev

How you solve AAA in PPPoE Balanced Server?? DO you use external radius or internal accounting in MK?
