Dear all,
I would really appreciate some feedback on this… anything!! I have 4 pairs of antennae running in bonding mode (balanced rr) and all antennae are going into a load balancer. All works fine from the Mirkotik perspective but i am running with issues when the VPN tunnel (checkpoint) is turned on. I get a bandwidth of over 40Mbps from my Mirktoik boxes with rudundancy and failover over the 4 concurrent links which i am very happy with. The issue is when the VPN is switch on, the bandwidth is dropped dramatically on a per connection basis. Let me explain.
I trasnfer a file from source A to desntination B ..speed is of 4Mb (max)
I start another tansfer from source C to destination D … speed of 4 Mb - total of 8Mb over my 4 wireless links
I start another transfer from source E to destination F . . speed of 4 MB - total of 12Mb over my 4 wireless inks
I start another transfer from source G to destination H . . . speed of 4 MB - total of 16Mb over my 4 wirless inks
and so on…
There is no caping on the Check point firewall, it just seems to be a issue with how the VPN and the balanced rr (bonding) work together.
If you think i should have used a different configuration rather than bonding for such a setup please let me know!
thanks!
