Loaded v5.0rc5 on a RB750

hey,

Yesterday i loaded v5.0rc5 on a RB750 of mine and now it dont work ???

I uploaded it and then rebooted, it all seems fine. The lights come on and it seems to boot. but if u plug in a lan cable, no lights come on and u cannot access the RB?

What do i do? cause there is no serial connection to access the terminal?

Any ideas?

I cant just throw the RB away>?

fire up netinstall and see if it sees it.

sorry, missed the bit about no lights. is that the case on all the ports? does whatever you’re plugging it into light up?

Yea, No lights on all 5 ports,
The Power light is on,

and the other end of the cable does not power up either.

Just the mikrotik net install?

press and hold the reset button while you power up the rb750
it will try net booting (Netinstall)
Reinstall the appropriate packages.

does this mean that the rb750 cannot run v5?

Which reset button?


There are 2 on the rb750? There is the gold ring one where you have to make a connection and then the black button that you push


i hope its the gold one as my black button one broke off :frowning:
