I am testing the loading time of MT login pages. I use a PIII (1GHz) and bandwidth 128/128 Kbps. I use this old-fashioned laptop because it is the worst case. Obviously, you get lower time with a PIV (3Hz). 
How many seconds do your browser need to load these pages in LOCAL?

Before, we has 'hp' PIII/1Ghz, a week ago that board is damage. than we moved ROS-IDE to 'Dell' PIII/500 640SDRAM 80G-IDE Intel-Board RouterOS 6 level
at local we has 26 users and average distance 25meters from router, and loading page for userman around 1-2 seconds
I like old PC, cos low temperature and silent. we don't have some $$ to buy new PC 
later when we will have more users, we will buy good and new technology.
we has roaming networks from our AAA over unwire 12 CPEs, and loading it around 3-4 seconds
we has main gateway 128kbps 1:1 to our NOC, almost every night we checked our user from NOC with modem dialup line phone, than loading it around 5-8 seconds for userman login page. cos dialup gateway from my home to our NOC around 65km.
but we know, ideally userman much better for local control, just sometime we need review from at home, i think for us is enough and nice with it...
