Hi All, great forum. I am a newbie trying to set up a PPTP connection between two MT routerboards, one in my office and the other at a remote location. I think I have everything set up properly except that I can’t figure out what addresses to put into the “local address” and “remote address” fields of the PPP Secret. Right now we have a working connection between a different router in the office (connected to a different modem) and the remote location that was set up by someone else. It uses two addresses that are not a part of our local subnet - the first three digits are, but the rest are not. I currently have traffic passing only one direction: transmit from local to remote, but nothing in the other direction, if that helps. Thanks in advance!
more info: the router I’m trying to set up as the server is the remote one, that is where I’m trying to define the secret. The addresses in the working connection are not in the subnet of either the local network or the remote one, that is what has me confused. Thanks again!
