I have a the ccr2004 pcie router and I can’t get access through winbox, not even showing up mac address/neighbors, I can’t ping the gateway. I have it installed on a server and I booted into a usb with windows installed. I get the 169.254.xx.xx ip which means I don’t have dhcp working it seems. Is there anyway I can access my router on the same computer? All I have is kvm access that’s it. My only solution I can think of is I use a mini router connected to this router with a vpn so I can access this router on a working lan network.
When you do regain access, suggest you create an off bridge port.
Just give the port an IP address
192.168.44.1/30 interface=etherX network=192.168.44.0
Ensure that port is part of any trusted Interface list or whatever you have designated for
neighours discovery and mac winbox-mac server.
Then you should be able to simply modify your ipv4 settings on laptop to 192.168.44.2 and you should be able to access the router.
