Logging into the CRS305 from the 1g port

I am trying to configure the CRS305-1G-4S+IN

The help document says that you need to connect your configuring computer to port 2.

My problem is that my only 10gb computers are devices such as NAS that are not easily able to get access to a web browser.

I tried to connect my older 1gb nic mini-desktop to a RJ45 100M Transceiver on port 2 but it didn’t detect as active. Not sure if the unifi transceiver is backwards compatible with 1gb.

Anyway, I am now trying to connect my configuring desktop through the microtik PoE 1g port hoping that I can get access to the management portal. That does not seem to be working.

Must I manually configure my desktop to a static IP on the 192.168.88.x network?

Maybe you can try to connect using MAC address in WinBox? In the blank configuration the MAC WinBox Server listens on all interfaces.

I’ll look into this. Thank you.

I basically have a NAS and a ProxMox machine with 10gb nics. Neither has a default built in browser. I suppose I could launch a virtual OS on either and get a browser.

Just saw the instructions say dhcp should work from the switch.

Thank you @CGGXANNX WinBox worked perfectly.
