Hello everyone!
Today I tried to configure my Mikrotik.
I’m not experienced user at all, so I decided to use Quick Set ‘Home AP Dual’ to configure router for simple home usage. Looks like I can access internet from my pc/smartphone and other devices - so looks like a success to me.
Unfortunately I noticed, that using WinBox I can only login with MAC Address. When I try IP Address I receive time out. I’m not sure if it’s an issue, but wanted to mention that.
The second issue is that when I click Check Update I receive error “ERROR: could not resolve DNS name”. No idea if those problems are related.
I tried ping google from terminal and received this error:
ping google.com
invalid value for argument address:
invalid value of mac-address, mac address required
invalid value for argument ipv6-address
while resolving ip-address: could not get answer from dns server
Here is my configuration, I hope I exported it correctly.
Hi I have the equal problem, I already reset the device as mentioned but it does not help. 2nd problem as well: no access exept by Winbox.
Thanks (another unexpirenced User).
