By links over water, just choose the biggest Antennas you could mount, if your Budget allows that.
Over the Water you will see thermal effects that interfere your link!
Did you check the LOS? How high are both towers? What elevation are they? What obstacles (ANY) are there? What height and what distance from the tower? What frequency are you transmitting?

How about instead of netbox, I’ll be using netmetal5 (triple chain)…towers are high and no obstacles have been blocking the way to the next site. but, it will only passby the seashore…I think 10 meters from the shore. 13.5 KM is the distance…
