I live on a large property. I am trying to set up a Ring Doorbell at the front gate. The gate is line of sight from the house at 2750ft away. I would like to do it with Wifi from the house to the gate. Also, the gate has no AC power. It would be run off 12-volt batteries and a solar panel.
In the end I would like to have the doorbell, other cameras and a way to open the gate from the house.
What do I need for this??

Powering it at the far side will be the challenge but you seem to have some ideas.
What I dont like is that within the same website they provide two distances, fast within 1 km, connectivity up to 2.4km.
This speaks to some degradation between 1KM and 2.4KM. However, 1KM is more than your stated distance so probably Just Fine.
60hz is less effective in snowfalls and heavy rain…
