Looking for a device/router which can be configured as both Ap and client and macthes below requirements

Wi-Fi Tester requirements:

  • Shall be configurable as Access point and STA \client

  • Shall support Standard 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax

  • Shall be independantly configurable to Frequency Bands either Band 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz (need to test separately with 2.4GHz mode and 5GHz mode)

  • Shall support up to WiFi-6 ( Please let us know if you have model supports up to WiFi7 also, what’s the cost difference )

  • Shall be capable to measure Test parameters : Status, RSSI in dbm, Link Speed, Throughput

  • Life cycle at least 10 years preferrable

  • Shall support Windows11

Shall have capability to control and configure through scripts for test automation.

Any AX device (except for AX Lite or L009UiGS-2HaxD-IN, they only have 2.4Ghz).
No wifi7 yet.

does hAP ax3 work for our requirement?

  • 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax-> Not sure about /a. 802.11 b/g/n certainly yes.
  • independantly configurable to Frequency Bands either Band 2.4 GHz or 5 GHz -> CHECK
  • WiFi-6 ( Please let us know if you have model supports up to WiFi7 also, what’s the cost difference ) -> CHECK (WIFI6)
  • Status, RSSI in dbm, Link Speed, Throughput -> CHECK
  • Life cycle at least 10 years preferrable -> depends ... but it's not unheard of for Mikrotik devices to go way over 10 years on a PER DEVICE base ...
  • support Windows11 -> define "support" ? W11 clients can connect to it.
