Loop-protect packets (0x9003) drop by Centos

Hi all, I have few virtual servers some on proxmox and some on hyper-v, and I noticed one strange thing. Once I enabled loop-protect on the interface (vlan) that goes to the virtual machine and I got dropped packets on the interface of the virtual machines. I studied carefully the situation and realised what it was drops of loop-protect packets itself (Ethertype 0x9003).

The problem is actual for hyper-v and proxmox , OS is Centos 7

The topology is Mikrotik(vlan)------(vlan)VirtualMachine.

It’s a bit frustrating, we monitor dropped packets and it’s spoil out monitoring
If you have any ideas how to solve it, it’ll be a great help for me.

Working as expected ™.

Likely the unknown protocol is triggering the behavior.

oh, thank you!
Interesting, very interesting. )))
So the “solution” is ignore it, because your drops are not drops.
I hope they’ll change their minds to next release. It’s very strange decision, it makes drop-fied useless imho
