So I’m considering using the loop protection feature instead of a dynamic routing protocol like OSPF.
Here’s the scenario:
-Site#1 Router has a Wireless PtP link to Site#2 (AP Mode).
-Site#2 Router has two (primary and backup) PtP wireless links to Site#1 (both in Station Mode).
-Under normal operation, only one radio at Site #2 will need to be active. Both stations will use the same SSID and LAN segment to connect to Site#1.
-Two ethernet interfaces used on Site#2 router (i.e. two PtP radio links) will be on the same bridge and both interfaces will have loop protection with a loop-protect-disable-time of five (5) minutes.
Tested in my CHR lab and it seems to work fine…
Thoughts?
