Hello,
I have a working MPLS environment where there are no interfaces defined in “/mpls interface” except for an MPLS loopback.
Being new to this protocol I’m wondering what if any are the drawbacks to doing it this way?
I do not expect to get a reply on this one, but it would be greatly appreciated since all of my research has turned up nothing in this regards to this so far.
MPLS interface entries are required to correctly determine MPLS MTU on interfaces participating in MPLS packet forwarding. Without these entries MPLS will not work properly, I would suggest to leave default “all” enabled.
Thank you for the reply support. It is greatly appreciated.
