Loosing internet connection - powerline adapters to blame?

Hi, first time in this forum. Already checked and found no subject about my issue. I have a MikroTik router, model RB951G-2HND 5-Port Gigabit Wireless AP 1000mW, fully updated, connected via ethernet to my cable service router. Everything has been working fine so far. However, I wanted to extend my signal range and deployed a kit of Netgear AV500 powerline adapters I already had. I connected the MikroTik router via ethernet to one of the powerline adapters in order to provide extended coverage both via ethernet and wifi. Not sure if it is a coincidence, but after several days I started loosing Internet connection. I switched my workstation’s wired connection from the MikroTik router to the cable router and service was OK, so the issue is with the MikroTik router. I temporarily disabled the powerline adapters and went back to my previous settings, in order to conduct further tests. I am also seriously considering ditching the powerline adapters altogether and buy a second MikroTik router instead, to be used as a signal repeater. Any suggestions about how to diagnose and/or fix this? Thanks in advance.
