I have a 1 km EOIP bridge with two RB411A’s, ROS 4.1, XR5’s and ARC 19dBi panels. About every half hour, I lose connectivity for a few minutes through the LAN side, and Winbox, to the remote end, but the wireless link stays up, with no disconnection or reset messages in the logs. Ideas?
Two things I’ve heard to do in these situations.
- Make sure the antenna is not cross-polarized
- In the case that you don’t have a clear line of site, it may be helpful to try a lower gain antenna.
If you are operating in 2.4, ARC also has a 16 dBi.
