Loss of CAPsMAN connectivity drops wifi interfaces with Local Forwarding

I’m using a CAPsMAN controller to manage a number of mobile “remote offices”, each with only a handful of APs.

The APs all have a VPN tunnel back to HQ so they can get to CAPsMAN.

Each AP is configured for Local Forwarding.

My issue is that when there is disruption to the connectivity between the CAPsMAN server and the AP it downs the wireless interfaces.

Previously I used Cisco CAPs which don’t down the wireless interfaces when connectivity to the controller is disrupted and local forwarding is being used, they just don’t allow any new clients to connect.

Am I just missing something? Or can this not currently be changed?
