i’m running dude for about two months now. today i have moved it from office table into rack and changed the ip address - as a result all collected data (throughput history on links, history of device outages etc.) have been lost.
it is for the second time now - the first event was about month ago, but it was much more out of the blue sky than this time (there was no event like server move and ip address change i could blame
in both cases it lost data and stopped collecting new - i had to import dude backup in order the graphs work again…
dude is 4.0beta3 on windows xp, my desktop is ubuntu&wine.
i made complete uninstall and reinstall of dude before importing backup, unfortunately this time importing backup haven’t solved my problem…
in c:\program files\dude\data i have file dude.db (about 130 MB) which should be probably being filled with collected data, but it seems from some reason dude is unable to write into it… it keeps time and size from the moment of backup import and these values don’t change
i have file dude.db-journal in same directory, which is beeing updated regularly every 60s as the pooling occurs…
both these files have exact same file attributes.
“database commit interval” is set to 30 seconds
also if i make any change to map, like adding a device, the change is forgotten after a little time and reverted to after-import state
