I have RouterOS V4.3 (License Level 1) as guest under Virtualbox 3.1.2 (host Ubuntu 9.10).
RouterOS have a Dude package. All working fine. I can create a map, scan devices etc.
But after reboot my VM with RouterOS, all data in Dude is dissapear.
But if I changing something in RouterOS settings - all keeping fine, even after reboot.
Is it because I use License Level 1, or something wrong in my VM or what?
Probably Virtualbox does not make correct reboot of the router.
Do you run reboot Virtualbox immediately after applying Dude configuration?
Try the following,
/system reboot on MikroTik RouterOS
Reboot the Virtualbox.
Let us know, how it works.
After a disconnection of my Dude client, all the changes I made and I were looking for 5 days, are not there now. All is like I installed months ago, not like I configured this week. WTF?!
My Dude Server isn’t rebooted since 5 days at this moment, but the configuration is lost. I have a RB450 only for the dude server..!
Whats the problem and how can I get my configuration again?
Hello,
I have the same problem.
For me working solution is disable DUDE service (from Dude settings) , before shutdown or restart Mikrotik Dude router.
Note that when you stop service you must check the status text. Normally the status is “running”
When you stop service the status became “applying settings: disabling: waiting for config changes to flush (xxxxxxx bytes in queue)”
You must wait till the status becomes “applying settings: disabling: stopped”
