Lost key after Virtual machine deleted

Hello guys,

I just purchased a key 2 days ago and installed RouterOS on my virtual machine. My VM on Esxi had issues so I deleted it and reinstalled it again. Only to realize that the process in Mikrotik is different. Now the soft ID has changed and obviously, it will not take the old key. I have emailed support, but that’s another 3 days till they reply.

Is there any way to use the old key? I would be too depressed to buy another key. It’s my third day with the VM router. Totally new to this.

Thanks. By the way, can they do it free or will they ask me to buy another one. I already have a key in my Microtik account.

I have no idea. That will be completely up to them.
