Lost my guest wifi config on upgrade - now I'm confused

Hi all,

After upgrading to RouterOS 7, I changed my wifi packages to the newest ones and lost my guest wifi configuration in the process. Now I am confused on how the heck I was doing it. It was working… but I can’t figure out how to recreate the missing pieces.

I have a HeX S and a Hap AC2. The Hex still has the dhcp configuration for my guest network, the vlan, and the firewall rules that were dropping any traffic from flowing between my main networks and my guest network.

On my hap AC2, I am starting fresh. I cannot figure out how to create a guest wifi AP that pulls from my guest DHCP pool. I know that I need to create a wifi interface and somehow bind it to my guest vlan (ID 200) - but how? It’s been several years since I looked at this, and I’m just plain lost and can’t figure it out anymore.

Any pointers?

Thank you!

I perform an export from time to time, just to have my “documentation” available when needed.

Post both configs when you get a chance, after integrating the information from the link provided.

You probably missing the “wireless” package. Install the “wireless” package manually to recover your wireless configuration.
