I lost access with some of the routers that i have on older version i guess after the winbox exploit. Is there any way to retrieve the password or get access on the router without to reset it? one of them i need access without to loose the configuration. I tried some things but no luck yet. Thank you.

i tried it already. i even created a vm with a mikrotik iso and there it worked. unfortunately when I tried on two routers with this method, first with ip and after with mac both didnt work. with mac it was just hanging. you think that they blocked it when they got access?
i guess at this point i have no choice other than to reset the unit unless if somebody has any other idea. I think mikrotik had to find a bypass since that was a security bug from their firmware. I m checking most of my devices usually but that was an old client.
