Lost pings to mikrotik (strange problem)

Strange problem with mikrotik based on the x86.
In the 3 network vlan / 24 / 24 and / 18. Periodically lost pings from mikrotik to some subscribers from / 18 networks.
On another computer, in this vlan, I ping these subscribers.
Change mac-address from the interface mikrotik, pings start to go missing again. After some time, the problem goes away.
What might be the idea? Help, please.

Hi!

I think it is one or more L2 switch(es) between your mikrotik based x86 router and /18 network subscribers, isn’t it? If it’s true, it may be a mac table overflowing on that L2 switch which is connecting to your mikrotik router. When you change the mac of your router’s interface, you force the switch to learn this new mac, and the packets can reach their destinations again. I think it may be a possible reason of this issue. Try to change the L2 switch (connected to your x86 router) to another one, which has a larger mac table.

i think i have the same problem, please follow my posts at this thread:
