Lost-Service

Hi

I doing have a freeradius server doing AAA with my mikrotik and I see that alot of the termination reasons are “Lost-Service”.

Could any of you guys maybe tell me what that is? I am use to seeing “User-Request”, “Idle-Timeout”, “Admin-Reset” but have never seen that before.

Lost Service: Service can no longer be provided; for example, user’s connection to a host was interrupted.

The connection dropped. How do users connect in your network?

They are connecting on a wifi connection. Do you think it could be that?

I also see that I am getting these errors in the Mikrotik log.

“RADIUS accounting request not sent: no response”

Yes, that could be due to users losing wireless connectivity.

The RADIUS accounting message can be due to loss of connectivity to the user as well, but you may want to check your RADIUS server - if you have multiple paths with different source IPs from the NAS to the server it may not be configured to process accounting from both.
