Just a simple “newbie” question. Sure it has an answer. Don’t know how or where to find it a solution.
Suppose I have on one router 1 hundred filter rules, and I want to copy that 100 rules to another router.
Is there a simple way to copy these filter rules of one router, to the filter rules to another router, or do I have to input all of them one by one on each router?
Remember, that most firewalls can not just be “copied” without at least an understanding of what they are doing. Some common “scripts” that are out there commonly block known good ports, so be careful and if you don’t know what they all do, don’t load them, or have a consultant help you out by going over them before deploying.
Ok gmsmstr, great advice. That’s true. But it’s also good to begin with something, a list of rules, than with a “blank page”, most if you don’t are yet ready for the “idiosynchrasis” of the way Microtik implement security.
