Low gain outdoor dual pole antenna

Hello,

I am looking for a low gain dual pole outdoor antenna. I have a few net metals’s that I would like re-purpose for a very short link (1/2 km) and my current 30db antenna’s are too large. Does anyone know of a 5-10db antenna that I could use with these radios?

Thanks,
Dan.

Directional? Omni?

Omnitik is dual pol with 7,5 for each antenna and is integrated
For directional you can use sxt

dual pol antenna and cable for netmetal is much expensive than one single integrated device.

Thanks, but I am looking for an antenna only. Also I would like a directional one for a point to point link.

You could use a Mikrotik mANT-15s.

120° for one point-to-point?

I did find that one, but i’m not sure a 120 degree would be the correct antenna for a short point to point. I was thinking more like 15 degree.

Mikrotik mANT-15s is just one possible solution that meets the requirements of the OP.

  1. Dual Pol.
  2. Smaller than 30dBi dish.
  3. suitable for short hop.

I would use a Biquad in this situation but it’s not dual Pol. Reusing the Netmetal is another requirement the OP has.
You can mount the panel at 90Deg with suitable weather treatment to get a narrow beam width if the conventional mounting orientation picks up unwanted signals.
