Is anybody making PHYs requiring Cat 6a for 10Gbps with range LOWER than 100m ?
I propose:
10GBASE-T10: 10 meters (support 10m cable really well)
10GBASE-T50: 50 meters
That’s easy enough to read on a router box.
Obviously, all transceivers must be able to receive at the normal full power.
Which means one could eventually have asymmetric ethernet.
