Low transmit power

I have 4 AP’s running WRAPs, 2.9.38, and WLM54Gs. 3 of these are on one tower and 1 is on a tower b y itself. It appears that 1 on the 3AP tower and the single tower has a low transmit signal. I say this because if I position myself where I can see AP 1 & 3 I can see both with my laptop. If I position myself between AP 2 and either of the other two, I can only barely see a signal from two but a strong signal from either of the others. Then the single tower setup I cannot see it with my laptop as far away as I used to. Now I have no numbers to put with this testing I did today, only signal strengths seen by my wireless card in Win XP.

There are clients, Tranzeo CPQ’s, connected to both of these AP’s and they are still working but I have been noticing the AP does not hear the clients as well as they used to. Are the radios just going bad? If so, was it most likely caused by static or???

I’d check the cables and pigtails - maybe you have a bad crimp or something. I also feel that a large percentage of UFL pigtails come “bad” out of the box, generally I order 1 extra out of 5 to account for out of the box failures.
