In ordering a ltAP LTE6 secondhand, I did not receive the 0.35m 4pin automotive adapter cable, which is not sold separately.
Does anyone know what form factor this connector is? This does not fit any standard format I've seen for automotive power connections, and I am wanting to utilize this connector for powering the unit in my mobile setup as I do not have the ability to do AC or PoE.
Any guidance or pointers to where I can find that exact sized connector would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
I think it would be much cheaper and quicker for you to use barrel jack connector or maybe PoE injector. Nothing fancy, you can use Mikrotik's own PoE injector.
For automotive (and if you don't have a PoE source- as OP stated), yes.
It has a retainer.
Should be the safest choice protecting from vibrations and from accidental pulls on the cable.
Never had problems with that on trucks where I installed wAP LTE. I use PoE injectors in that case. I like to put a little bit of electrical tape on connectors just in case.
So I really think that if that connector wasn't included then PoE injector is much more easier option. If you have someone that can give you their connector then okej.
Yes, personal preference for how I am configuring power in my vehicle and a desire to keep the ethernet port separate from power. Should all else fail I'll result to PoE, but I simply wanted to utilize direct power.
