I’m new to Mikrotik. I recently picked up a LtAP LTE6 and I’m having some difficulty with DDNS. It shows my public address as a 172.xxx.xxx.xxx, but my LTE address is a 26.xxx.xxx.xxx. How do I get DDNS to recognize my LTE address?
You haven’t provided any details regarding the overall topology, so other explanations may exist. But assuming that the LTE is your only WAN: I have seen cases where the mobile operator was assigning “internal” public addresses to the LTE devices, but nevertheless was NATing them to other (“external”) public addresses, and incoming traffic to the “external” one was not forwarded to the “internal” one. So check your contract with the ISP first, and check whether when you ping the 172.xxx.xxx.xxx from somewhere else, you can see the ping requests to arrive to the 26.xxx.xxx.xxx - /tool sniffer quick ip-protocol=icmp will show you that.
