LtAP LTE6 external antenna mounting points

I have been running some experiments with an external mANT50 connected to my LtAP LTE6, using the ACSMAUFL pigtails and leaving the case open while running it. To make this all a little bit more manageable (LMR400 cables are frighteningly sturdy, and could easily yank the pigtails off the modem), I’d like to install those pigtails and close up the case. I’ve had a look at the manual at https://help.mikrotik.com/docs/display/UM/LtAP+kit-series but have some remaining questions.

In the Mounting section, there is an image that points out 4 locations where the sockets could be mounted. But it does not refer to the punch-through holes in the main connector panel of the device. I spot 3 location on there, 1 on the left near the reset button and 2 on the right near the GPS antenna socket.

What I would like to do is use the 1 on the left and 1 on the right, as the 2 next to one another seem too close for the chunky connectors.

Any reasons this is a bad idea?

Basically you can mount the antennas wherever you need them or want them. I just bored out holes in the front end of the case for mine.

Check my signature for LtAP pole mounting and here share with you mANT5o pole mounted.

For connectors position you need to use that you can depending of internal length of pigtails that you will use (U.FL to SMA or RP-SMA).

Regards.
