LtAP mini does not see nano sim inserted with switch to mini sim

Hello, We have purchased your LtAP mini product.

Tried two different nano SIM cards with switch to mini-SIM, but the rOS LTE interface does not appear…
SIM cards were inserted in both SIM card slots / system routerboard settings changed to upper or lower SIM slot respectively.

Question - could it be that the routerboard only supports the “larger” sim card chip size as a mini SIM and / or a micro SIM size? And do not support nano SIM card chip size?

Documentation mentioned that slot supports mini SIM: “The slot accepts miniSIM (2FF)”

Question - my routerboard LtAP mini possibly damaged?

Thank you!

well “mini” is the largest of the break-out sizes, see the image:

Also make sure to observe the orientation. Be very careful if the break-outs are not sturdy, if they move around, the smaller SIM can get stuck in the slot. Better put some sticky tape on the back of the size adapter.

So the device supports nano SIM card chip sizes or my device is broken?

The sim card was inserted like it is illustrated at the device:

If the issue is with LTE Interface, it means it has nothing to do with SIM. The interface will show up even if there is no SIM inserted.
Did you actually put a modem in the unit?

The LtAP mini itself comes without a modem inside. Only the “LtAP mini KIT” comes with a modem.

Thank you, yes we bought LtAP mini without KIT.

You can choose a modem from these, we have basic CAT4 and also CAT6:
