LTE/4G max bandwidth

Hello
I can’t get more than 13-14Mbps with my LTE/4G configuration, using RB912UAG + Huawei ME909u-521 (miniPCI-E) and good signal (-57dB).
I think I read somewhere in this forum that max speed was 14.4Mbps (not sure why.. USB interface?)
Question: what causes this limitation, how can I bypass this ?
Thanks

Sierra Wireless MC7710 LTE - which DL speed do you get?

I get from 12 to 16.8mbps with a 320U with PPP.
You need to use the LTE interface to get the full speed available.

Thanks for your answers.

I found out what was wrong: the CPU ! :stuck_out_tongue:
I was doing a real ftp test with “tool fetch url=‘…’” and i was capped at 14Mbps due to CPU at 100% (probably for writing to flash card).
Then i tried a bTest and was capped around 40Mbps (tcp), again with 100% CPU.
Then i plugged a computer on the ethernet and did a speedtest.net bench : 37Mbps down, 24Mbps up During the test, RB912 CPU was around 40-50%.

Hello:

When I use a USB LTE Modem, I can have the Router automatically connect using a PPP Client,
however when using a mini-PCIE LTE modem, I cannot not get it to “dial the Internet”.

lte1 shows as an Interface as follows:
0 name=“lte1” mtu=1500 mac-address=02:1E:10:1F:00:00 apn=“isp.telus.com
modem-init=“*99#” network-mode=auto authentication=chap

I have my Firewall rule with lte1 as moy out-interface:
0 chain=srcnat action=masquerade out-interface=lte1 log=no log-prefix=“”

I have a DHCP Client setup on lte1, but it turns red and says stopped.

Not sure how I am supposed to connect.

It also shows me two USB ports, one in Red.
I tried adding a PPP Client on both USB Ports, but nothing happens.
I’ve tried with Ignore IP modem checked also.

Any help is greatly appreciated,

Thank You.

make sure that you are using RouterOS v6.27

Please enable the async, debug loggin topics and check the log file why it doesn’t dial the lte network.

have you tried to use 2 antennas with your LTE modem?

I can get over 70/30 Mbps with huawei E3276s-150 where the LTE signal is strong…
