LTE counting script

Hello everybody!
This is my first topic here. At the beginning I’m sorry for my english
So… I have a problem. Can someone help me?

I am looking for a script, which will allow me to count data down + up for the whole month.
In my humble expectations it would be the fact that i can set the day of the beginning of the billing month …
Script could send an info by email every day how much I ate the transfer or how much has been to eat, or the percentage of how much I used or to be use (whatever).
Maybe after the first opening on the side it would be compiling a redirect, that much is used / left or whatever.
It sounds advancement

The problem is theoretically to solve somehow because in the detail of LTE interface (in my case “lte1”) there is info on the Tx / Rx Bytes = I have to just pull out and summed up. (But can anyone tell how?) Worse when is the case of lack of electricity because the counter resets and starts counting from the beginning…

Can someone share his knowledge? I will be very grateful.

+1 for this … I need exactly the same script

You can often get this information from the LTE USB stick itself.
I use Huawei E3372 and when I open its webpage (192.168.8.1) and go to Statistics there is a traffic
overview, you can set the beginning of the billing month, some allowed maximum, and you see a nice
bargraph indicating your usage.
It is also saved across powerdowns and re-connects.

But on a device that takes a sim directly (SXT LTE) this isn’t possible.

Yes. You can’t do this at SXT LTE. So? Can anybody helps me?

It may be possible to program this but it will certainly not be a beginner project!
There are lots of pitfalls, including the unexpected powercycle problem that you already point out.
Unfortunately, most providers also do not give you this info during the month (they don’t want to give you insight in your bundle consumption because that would allow you to budgetize it better).
If your provider is an exception, I advise you to look at the provider website to see if you can look at the data traffic.
