Hi,
Il tries to use Huawei E3276s-150 USB LTE modem, but the interface PPP does not go UP.

I follow a precedent topic, but not work correctly.

You should enable this ppp interface and test the differ “data-channel=0 info-channel=1”.
Maybe this “dial-command=“ATDT”” is not necessery?

I found that to this E3276 are a firmware files and you can re-firmware it to HiLink means like internal router inside E3276 who give lte1 interface for MikroTik. This is more transparent way.
Repo I use is on: https://www.mediafire.com/folder/ll9ieqqooyhy5/Documents#3ct991w1v12np but the procedure to doit is not easy to just give you a few steps, you must find in your country a proper forum/help.

I won’t try to re-firmware the USB modem but how?

To check a proper data/info channel you must do some testing. Example at E3131.

This means the channels 0 and 3 are working with AT commands and give gsm operator status.
Set data-channel=0 and data-channel=3 and this give you possibility to be connected and check the gsm-info at once.

When you have errors then power-reset, change data or/and info channels, reboot.
Example below.

After upgrade the channel’s can be change and now I have 0 and 2.

About E3372.
When I have “ignore-directip-modem=yes” then I see USB 1-1 device but witout any /port or lte interface.
When I have “ignore-directip-modem=no” & reboot then I see USB 1-1 with lte1 interface, with dhcp-client at lte1, with internet working automatical.

About re-format firmware I doing it at my own devices. I recommend E3272 or E3372 as LTE USB devices. Other LTE devices are different story.

Sorry but not work on this usb modem only channel 0, on channel 1 stop responding, I can do only CTRL-A and nothing else.
I’ll try some configuration but no one work.
The real problem is: I have 100 of this usb modem and someone works perfectly and someone not works, only on Mikrotik router, directly on a pc works perfectly.

This forum is about how to use MikroTik with working properly hardware like modem. About more details about changing/flashing firmware you can write me directly at WebChat or Telegram bcs this is not related to MikroTik .
If you have that many modems you should know about they firmware version, possibile features and mod’s.

Two main Huawei E327x firmware version:

  • v21 (current: 21.491.05.00.00) - modem mode, ignore-directip-modem=no|yes, PPP client use usb1 port with data and info channel. At PC you must use MobileDialer and modem can be installed as NDIS or RAS mode devices.


  • v22 (current: 22.491.09.00.00) - router mode (Hi.Link), ignore-directip-modem=no, at PC you see new Ethernet NIC at RB you see lte1 interface, you have internet by dhcp-client from default gateway at 192.168.8.1 who is internal WebGui with own firmware like v17.100.18.03.143

This Channels=2 means you have only 0 and 1 as data/info-channel. Only two! and proper config is always like “data-channel=0 info-channel=1” in ppp-out1 when e3276 has fw v21 and you see usbX interface.

E3131 have 4 channels means data/info channel are 0,1,2 or 3. Default channel 0 is always working and he is data-channel and give me internet. When I have info-channel at proper or bad channel from 1,2 or 3 then I can receive gsm operator status/info with working internet at channel 0 and only this.
When modem works, SIM have gsm/3g/4g signal and data-channel is 0 then you have 99% of success with connection.
You can set data and info channel to 0 but you can do gsm info or have internet.
I hope now you know that info-channel is not that important. Most important to get info at 0 (or proper additional channel) just to confirm that you have a gms/3g/4g signal and connection can be do. On some modem the internal LED give you this info.
