I have a customer down at the moment, they have a RBSXTR (SXT LTE) running RoS 6.44.6 Long Term and same firmware. Modem firmware is v13.
The LTE interface disappeared this morning, restarting the device did not work, switching between SIM slots “a & b” and back to “a” brought the LTE interface back, but there are no traffic flowing through the interface now.
I am trying to understand what the problem can be from the symptoms / resolutions above, i.e.
does it mean the SIM card is faulty if the LTE interface disappears? If anyone can give me more info / assistance it will be greatly appreciated
try USB Power reset? i had the same problem with old SXT LTE, even after a reboot, LTE interface was missing. then i did a USB power reset, it comes up immediately.
I dont think the USB power would have helped, as we powered the device down, i.e. pulled the ethernet cable supplying POE to device and did not make a difference either.
Managed to get it up again by flipping between SIM slots a & b a couple of times, then it stayed up, for now…
I have managed to create a supout file while the LTE interface was missing and again when the LTE interface was up again, will forward to support.
Similar issue on an SXT LTE kit with 6.47 and modem with MikroTik_CP_2.160.000_v017. Out of the blue, LTE i/f disappears and does not come up even after repeated power cycles. Checked /system routerboard modem sim-slot, and none was selected. Setting the SIM sorted it out - for now. Did support manage to fish anything out of your supouts?
