Hello everyone,
I have a problem getting the LTE interface to work in the Ltap Mini. Since OS 7 there have been difficulties in manually creating an LTE interface via the GUI and the console.
If you right-click on Add in the GUI under Interfaces → LTE → the LTE interface appears for a short second, but then disappears again immediately.
Even if you want to select the LTE profile via the quick setup, it is no longer available for selection since version 7.
Has anyone had similar experiences and if so, can anyone give me a solution?
Thank you very much in advance.
What kind of LTE modem do you have, and what means “since ROS 7” - are you saying you did run the same modem on the same LtAP mini while running ROS 6 without problems?
The thing is I never had to create an LTE interface manually so far, be it ROS 6 or ROS 7 - if a supported hardware is connected, the interface gets created automatically, and that’s it.
I’ve seen LTE interface disappear due to FW crash on modem (FW bug on AX Lite LTE with FG621-EA modem, some versions ago).
You could recreate it but it vanishes again shortly after creating (when the crash happens again).
But this should show in logs.
It might be possible you have to go back to ROS 6, upgrade modem FW and then move to ROS 7 again ?
I recently updated about forty of them and some were difficult. I updated the firmware from 7.12.1 and it was successful. Then I updated to 7.16.1. Updating the lte firmware directly from 7.16.1 did not always work
