LTE RouterBoard with mini-PCI-e card

Dear all,

we recently made a purchase for a RB411U with a Huawei ME909u-521 mini-PCI-e card, in order to use LTE network through the RouterBoard. We have some difficulties getting mobile network information from the router, following list summarize our questions:

  1. Is it possible to read the frequency (EARFCN) for this mini-PCI-e card ? or is it a limitation of the board itself ?

  2. Which mini-PCI-e would you recommend for cellular network (LTE or other) connection ?
  3. The Scanning function for LTE connection seems to be unstable, and provides no detailed information about scanned cells and networks, do you think this is software or hardware related ?

  4. We have used the latest version of RouterOS, 6.40.1, and tested older versions as well, but we have not seen any difference in outcome, would you recommend a specific software version for our system ?

Many thanks in advance.

any help would be highly appreciated, so please let me know if you have encountered anything related to the topic.

Thanks a lot,
EYa

By using RouterOS v.6.40.1 i do not get any fields like Current Cell ID, Frequency etc. to see. Which version do you use?

that was with version 6.36.3, from the “Info…” (LTE info) menu. In v6.40.1 the Info menu has been removed, and radio data are all shown under the “status” tab.

have you had any luck with scanning ?!

Only name of neighboring networks, nothing more
