LTE solution (outdoor) with band 20 (800 MHz) support ?

Since SXT LTE only supports band 3 and 7, is there a viable solution for LTE on band 20 (800MHz) ?
Can I add LTE USB stick to some of the Mikrotik outdoor devices ?
Or, would m-PCIe solution be better ? If yes, with what to proceed ?

Can we expect (in the near future) support for more LTE bands from Mikrotik (band 20 included) ?

Thanks,

Matt

You can use any support USB modem or mPCIe modem. Just find one that works with your LTE bands.

Yes, but with what Mikrotik outdoor device to pair it ?

I have Basebox2 in use and it has USB slot. The question is: Can I use Basebox2 as bridge for LTE connection AND as normal AP in the same time ?

No idea about the Basebox, sorry.

You can pair USB modems or mPCIe modems to most RouterBoards. I’ve paired the Sierra Wireless/Netgear 312U and 320U to a RB711 and currently use the 320U and SW MC7304 with the RB912.

Of course you can use it. It is just all about proper configuration, there is no reason why it won’t work. I have Basebox5 and Huawei E3372 connected. Everything works fine

Yes, I know it would work fine.
But, can I make LTE bridge toward main router (for LTE connection to be used on entire network, not just users on Basebox) and use Basebox as regular AP in the same time ?

bump

If someone can answer me my last question, that would be great.

Thanks in advance !

You can use LTE to do whatever you want. I don’t believe that bridging is the solution but it all depends on network configuration.

Basebox2 is currently working as pure AP, connected to RB3011.
The plan is to connect Huawei E3372 to Basebox2 USB slot, raise PPP interface and route it toward RB3011 in order to be available to entire network. Can I do that by making VLAN connection between PPP and RB3011 or ? Certainly can’t use ether connection because it is used by Basebox for AP.

To be honest to start working with 800 MHz, You need the radio module operating at 800 MHz and the antenna which works also in 800 MHz.

I can recommend my antenna → http://wireless-instruments.com/en/products/antennas/wibox-pa-mmb0727-8x

Regarding the electronic I can recommend RB912 + some miniPCIe like Huawei or D15G2 (4G only).

SXT LTE is for 1,8GHz and 2,6GHz.
