Since SXT LTE only supports band 3 and 7, is there a viable solution for LTE on band 20 (800MHz) ?
Can I add LTE USB stick to some of the Mikrotik outdoor devices ?
Or, would m-PCIe solution be better ? If yes, with what to proceed ?
Can we expect (in the near future) support for more LTE bands from Mikrotik (band 20 included) ?
You can pair USB modems or mPCIe modems to most RouterBoards. I’ve paired the Sierra Wireless/Netgear 312U and 320U to a RB711 and currently use the 320U and SW MC7304 with the RB912.
Of course you can use it. It is just all about proper configuration, there is no reason why it won’t work. I have Basebox5 and Huawei E3372 connected. Everything works fine
Yes, I know it would work fine.
But, can I make LTE bridge toward main router (for LTE connection to be used on entire network, not just users on Basebox) and use Basebox as regular AP in the same time ?
Basebox2 is currently working as pure AP, connected to RB3011.
The plan is to connect Huawei E3372 to Basebox2 USB slot, raise PPP interface and route it toward RB3011 in order to be available to entire network. Can I do that by making VLAN connection between PPP and RB3011 or ? Certainly can’t use ether connection because it is used by Basebox for AP.
