What is the maximum speed anyone has ever seen download using the mikrotik LTE6 modem?
Im on Telekom.de with near perfect signals and a SIM thats supposed to provide 300M, but im only seeing peaks up to 80Mbps through it. Its in a WAP R ac LTE6 kit on a tall mast.
Any tips or tweaks to get it to go faster? id be happy with anything north of 100M. The module is supposed to go up to 300M.
Check cellmapper for your Telekom Tower.
Depending on the frequencies, usage and backbone of the tower, 80 Mbits might just be the limit.
The 300Mbits are in ideal conditions. Usually lower.
Personally (← Mind the “personally”) I feel like Telekom has been leaving its LTE Network “to die”.
They’ve recently removed a lot of LTE hardware in cities and speeds been dropping ever since.

Keep in mind the R11e’s CA Bands.
Which in germany you would most likely end up with 1+20 (2100Mhz + 800Mhz)
If you can’t sustain Band 1 then i wouldn’t expect more than 50mbps
On the AX Lite LTE6 I received up to 60 Mbps without aggregation and up to 120 Mbps with aggregation.
Thanks for this, it inspired me to test some more and I got it up to 150Mbps by band locking to two 20MHz bands (B3 and B7) thus avoiding one of the carriers being 10MHz (B8).
Yes, it’s about right for me too. But 90-100Mbps seems typical using CA. Seems peak though round 120Mbps.
EDIT: Of course if you need more throughput and your provider allows for it, the LHGG LTE18 kit might be a better bet. I’ve seen this puppy do 450/50, which I believe is that provider’s max allowable on 4G. Not bad!
LTE18 allows for 3 instances of CA, whereas the LTE6 device you’re working with provides just one (along with the main instance, of course).
