I finally got around to buy a decent router, getting pretty tired of consumer grade stuff. I ended up with a mikrotik router. I got kinda scared at first setup, I am used to consumer grade stuff with idiot proof gui. But I managed to get it to work proper, and learning stuff on the way there. So that is all good.

Now I am going to try to use my trusted Pihole with the mikrotik, and I wondered if anyone got a guide or similair for me to do this easy and quick. The YouTube ads while the kids watch it on the TV drives med crazy.

IP > DHCP-Server > Networks
Change the DNS server you are handing out to the IP of your Pi-Hole.
Done.

Be careful with Pi-Hole though, I would be more inclined to statically set the DNS in the client devices rather than blanket the network as I’ve read recently it has been a bit flakey with providers such as Amazon and stopping people from getting to genuinely non advertising content.
