MAC authentication is not working for ONE user

I have one user that has been authenticated with userman for the last two days. Today after a router reboot one MAC auth user is not able to log back in. Keep getting “login failed:invalid password”

The password field in userman is blank, and the mac auth password is blank in the hotspot manager. Yet I continue to get this error. I have deleted the user, rebuilt the database, re-added the user and still get the same error.

Is Can someone assist? RB532A with only 4 users on it right now.

Do you have login-by MAC at your HotSpot router?

/ip hotspot profile print
1 name="hsprof1" hotspot-address=172.16.16.254 dns-name="172.16.16.254"
html-directory=hotspot rate-limit="" http-proxy=0.0.0.0:0
smtp-server=0.0.0.0 login-by=mac,http-chap,http-pap,trial

  1. Please make sure mac-address is actually in RADIUS database, and make sure it does not reach any limit (transfer limit, etc.).

  2. I recommend to change dns-name for HotSpot server.

When I change the DNS name to Mikrotik, the browser login page constantly refreshes and won’t allow login.
