Mac Computer not seeing Hotspot SSID

I have a customer with a pc and mac. The pc can see the hotspot and get dhcp’ed an ip but the mac does not even see the hotspot.

What can or do I need to do or tell the customer to do.

I don’t know a thing about mac’s.

LOL, I too have this problem and the things that I have found are that if I change the Senao 2611AP3 or CB3 with a Linksys wrt54g things work fine.
Also if I have the MAC plug into the switch/ ethernet connection it will work.
All I have found is that it’s a chipset problem.
The MACs can ping the gateway and if I put their mac address in the MT then they can ping anything in the world. They can even telnet and ssh to things but still no surf. But the connection they have is so very slow.

What version of Mac OS?

With OSX it should be pretty straight forward… click the airport icon on the top menu bar

and select the SSID from the list, make sure you have the “Hide SSID” option unchecked within the Mikrotik AP.
