I wonder how to setup my firewall on mikrotik ?
Can someone write me some universal rules ?
Now i used the films from yt to to on or off some functionality of microtik.
I will show you my rules on monday becouse i willbe on microtik.
The best thing to do is to start with the default firewall rules that come with the latest firmware for RouterOS.
Before adding rules, describe your network (a diagram works best).
Describe what you wish to accomplish in terms of users (not by equipment)
For example I … I have X groups of users.
Group 1 should be able to do this / but not this
Group 2 should be able to do this / but not this
Group 3 …
Describe your ISP connectivity (number of ISPs, number of IP addresses, throughput of, type of connection, etc)
Simply;
Allow related & established
Allow what you want to allow
Block everything else
Rules are processed in descending order so apply common sense.

Make sure your software is reasonably uptodate (current version is 6.44.3) and then
reset the router to default settings. That will create a firewall that should be OK until
you have learned how to do it better.

NEVER use information from YouTube on managing a MikroTik router, it is full of crap advise.
