Has anyone found a replacement for the thumbscrew that holds a netPower outdoor switch closed? I’m looking for something that takes some sort of less common / tamper-proof /security bit to unscrew just to add a little more “friction” for someone to be able to open it up.
It seems useless to me, if they want to spite you, a pair of scissors is enough…
Agreed, but it can be useful just for it to be quickly obvious whether or not something has been tampered with.
I understand.
Use some secuirty seal “VOID”

Good idea. I will do that if I can’t find a security screw. One other benefit of a security screw over security seal tape is that the mounting fasteners can only be accessed by opening the panel that the thumbscrew secures. Making it difficult to open the panel makes it difficult to rip the unit off the wall. If someone is going to do something malicious, I’d rather they cut the cables then steal the switch.
Oh yeah, but at that point if it’s so exposed, it’s better to lock it in an alarmed security metal box, like I do with the devices I’ve mounted in the middle of nowhere…
