Hi all
This is something that a customer is asking. Does someone think that’s possible?
There is a big house with more than 10 rooms. Every room has a TV and AP (UniFi).
There are only 2 Apple TV in the house and an AirPort that annouce themselves on the network where all the “Guests” connect to (let’s call it the guests vlan).
The owner wants to add airplay to all rooms.
Needless to say that that will cause all iDevices to see all of the Airplay compatible receivers over the network. I would like to try and find a solution for that… I was thinking that maybe the Airplay announces can be restricted only to the nearest AP (UniFi) reducing at least the list on the iDevices. Let’s say i want to allow all traffic from a specified IP (the Airport Express) only to a certain access point, but being on a Vlan i can’t understand with my limited knowledge if there is a possibility to do that, as AP’s IP is on vlan1 and airport will be on the guest’s vlan as all other guests and owners devices…
Can someone help here?
